TNGS Celebrates 10 Years of Prison Gardens!

New Garden Party Exceeds Expectations

We’re still delighting in memories of The New Garden Party! Over 100 guests gathered to listen to the botanical stylings of Skooby Laposky, share comfort food by NECAT, and hear from our students, volunteers, founders, and friends. We raised thousands of dollars to jumpstart our 2025 season. Many thanks to Mark Mathis Photography for the images of our event included here.

Grateful For Our Community

As we look back at the many small efforts that went into creating this community celebration, we’re grateful for everyone who reserved a ticket, donated resources, and especially those who were able to join us in person. You have all made it a pleasure to look back on ten years of work in and for prison gardens. Please stay in touch and continue to share our work!

TNGS Launches SeedMoney Campaign!

We’re excited to participate in a fundraising competition via SeedMoney. Donate below before December 15 to help us win a challenge grant this season!

Virtual Open House for Volunteers

We are recruiting horticultural professionals in the Greater Boston area who are willing to devote at least one weekday a month to teach with us behind prison walls. Our virtual open house is a space for anyone curious about volunteering to find out more about prison garden roles and our team. We will be breaking down all the basics of what we do and who we are. Join us, virtually, Sunday, Feb 6, and learn how you can fit in with our work!
